Why I Love Texas
America used to be a country for the land of the free and home of the brave. Living the American Dream was all about working hard and in return having success. Nowadays, people who don't work hard get just as much if not more than those who do.
Not in Texas.
Texas still believes in America. Texas still proudly waves the American flag, as well as the Texas flag. Texas instills in our children at school to be proud of where you live as they recite the Texas Pledge of Allegiance everyday. Texas still believes in religion. We live on a street with at least 5 churches on it. Every Sunday the street is packed with traffic coming to and from church. Texas still believes and fears God.
In a world where values are becoming lost and everything is becoming "politically correct", Texas is still trying to fight for what they know is right. They fight for the family. They fight for education. They fight for our religion. They fight for our freedom.
Will Texas always be this way? No way. Is Texas perfect? Heck no. But Texas gives me hope. And nowadays that's all I need.
GOD BLESS TEXAS
