We Survived Two Family Reunions in One Week

Last week was cRaZy. We were in three different states for family reunions (Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, then back to Florida) all within a matter of days.  My favorite quotes from the week:

"We are DONE having children!!"    -Me
"Why is being a parent so hard?!?"     -Kempton  (He said this right before he locked himself in the airplane lavatory with Dallas for TWENTY MINUTES)
"THIS IS, LIKE AWESOME!!!"      - Caydon
{Screaming and throwing several tantrums in the car/airplane}      -Dallas
"Mom, my pee-pee stopped working!"   -Caydon, right before he peed all over me at Burger King while sitting on my lap b/c his tummy hurt
"I just threw up three times."   -Kempton

Despite these quotes, we had a blast! Traveling with two little ones is definitely challenging, at times we wondered why we even try, but it was definitely worth it in the end. There is nothing better than having all of your family together at the same time. After all, Familes are Forever, right? Right. Let's just hope my little family gets better with traveling as they get older. If not, the forever part is going to sound like a pret-ty long time. Just kidding. Maybe not.

More posts and pictures to come!  First up, STOUT FAMILY REUNION 2011.

This totally made me laugh - because it reminds me of my life! Except not just when we're traveling. Like every day. And yeah, these days I definitely think we're NOT having any more kids! :)

p.s. we're thinking about taking a 14-hour road trip in August to the Oregon coast. are we crazy? I love flying, even though it's stressful, because the travel part is over relatively fast (compared to a road trip). but 4 plane tickets doesn't seem worth the $

Ha ha...it's my everyday too Anna, it just feels a lot worse in public! And I would rather DRIVE than fly anywhere b/c you have full control and can make stops whenever you want. Airplane seats are WAY too small and the kids can't go anywhere or do anything. Miserable!
