Caydon and I started out our road trip by flying to Vegas. Let me just tell you that flying with a nearly 1-year old, by myself, on a FIVE AND A HALF hour flight, is not that fun. Especially when a) every seat on the plane is taken and b) Caydon and I were still recovering from a stomach flu we had gotten the week we left. Luckily, however, the two men I was sandwiched between for the entire flight were super nice about Caydon constantly jumping into their laps and grabbing their ipods and cell phones. And it helped that we sat in the back of the plane where nearly everyone was fully intoxicated by the end of the flight. So it was a win/win for everyone, people couldn't even hear Caydon amongst their noise/laughter/chaos, and Caydon was quite entertained by their drama. People were even taking pictures with Caydon by the end of the flight, so I guess despite the ulcer I gave myself worrying about it, it ended up pretty successful.
And it was definitely worth it to see my BFF from college. We had lots of fun seeing the school where she teaches, the Bellagio (my Vegas favorite), the Excalibur, the "Butterfuly Park," and of course eating out.
Here we are at the gardens at the Bellagio.
Watching the water show...I could watch this for hours! Not sure how Caydon felt about it...
Inside the Excalibur waiting in line for the buffet. We were all kind of pooped in this picture.
And of course, with Elvis, my deceased love. It's no surprise that I have his movie "Viva Las Vegas" (hence the name of this post).
Thanks Alyssa and Alexa (and the Browns and Scarletts) for a great time! Me and "Baby Caydon" will be patiently awaiting your visit to Florida!!

Oh my gosh! I can't imagine that flight. I stressed out so much before I flew with Nathan by myself but it was only an hour flight! So he sat in your lap then?
Yes, he sat in my lap (and my neighbors') the whole flight. I walked him up and down the aisles a couple times, just for a change of scenery.
